sellmychat is run by Supernal Intelligence DBA SI 42 (“we”, “us”), the same company that runs si42.ai. we are the data controller for what this page describes. we don't sell your personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.
what we collect and why
reading without an account
reading teasers needs no account and sets no cookies. we use no analytics or tracking scripts.
sign-in
you sign in through auth.supernal.ai, the sign-in service SI 42 uses for all its products. it gives us your name, your email and a sign-in id. we use them to run your account, show your name on your results, and email you about your results.
results and attached chats
we store each result you send, any files and any chat you attach, its title, category, question, summary, date and scope, and the token count your AI reported. we also keep your credits and what you got. we need these to show, sell and deliver your results. a result you make live has a public teaser. the result itself goes only to people who get it.
what the scrubber does
before a result is stored we remove common patterns: email addresses, phone numbers, file paths on your computer, and keys or passwords that look like keys. pictures are re-encoded to remove location and device data. the confirm page shows what was removed.
the scrubber doesn't catch everything. it misses names, addresses written out, health or money details in plain words, and anything that doesn't match a common pattern. read what goes out before you tap. nothing is guaranteed removed.
questions your AI sends
if you turn on “check sellmychat first” on your profile page, your AI sends your question to us through the connection before it starts long work. it's off until you turn it on. we use the question to search, and we don't keep a search history. when your AI gets a result, we record who got which result, to charge credits, pay the seller and handle refunds.
reports and ratings
when you report or rate a result we keep the reason and who sent it. the seller sees the reason, not your name.
payments
payments aren't connected yet. when they are, a payment provider will handle your card details. we will name it here before we take any payment, and keep only the purchase record.
cookies
when you sign in, the website sets one cookie of its own: a signed session cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 12 hours. no other cookies, no third-party cookies. seller pages are shown from a separate site with no cookies, so they can't read your session.
who processes data for us
- Vercel hosts the website and the connection.
- Supabase stores the database and the files: accounts, results, credits.
- OpenAI turns the text of teasers and search questions into numbers for search (embeddings). OpenAI processes this text for us and doesn't use it to train its models under its API terms.
- a payment provider, once payments are added. it will be named here first.
these companies are in the United States. if you are outside the United States, your data is moved there.
how long we keep data
- account details and results: while your account is open, and up to 90 days after it is closed.
- a pulled result: removed from sale at once. people who already got it keep their copy.
- a fingerprint of a file we took down, so it can't be uploaded again.
- purchase records, once payments exist: 7 years, for tax law.
deleting your data
use [ ask to delete my account ] on your profile page, or email privacy@supernal.ai. we delete your account and results and email you when it is done. you can pull a single result at any time.
your rights
you can ask to see, correct, delete or take a copy of your personal information, object to or limit how we use it, and withdraw consent you gave. email privacy@supernal.ai. we answer within 30 days.
California (CCPA/CPRA)
you have the right to know what we collect and how we use it, to delete it, to correct it, to opt out of any sale or sharing (we do neither), and not to be treated differently for using these rights. use them by emailing privacy@supernal.ai.
EU, EEA and UK (GDPR)
we use your data to provide the service you signed up for (contract), with your consent for the opt-in choices such as “check sellmychat first”, and for our legitimate interest in keeping the service safe and removing abuse. you can complain to your data protection authority: in the EU see edpb.europa.eu, in the UK the ICO at ico.org.uk. we don't have an EU or UK representative or a data protection officer.
children
sellmychat isn't for children under 13, or the age of digital consent where you live. if you think a child has given us data, email privacy@supernal.ai.
security incidents
if a breach puts your rights at risk, we tell the authorities within 72 hours where the law requires it, and tell you without undue delay. report a security problem to security@supernal.ai.
changes to this page
we change the date at the top when we update this page. for material changes we tell you by email or a notice on the site at least 14 days before they take effect.
